It’s always exciting to shoot couples that just “click”. You can literally just tell them to sit there, talk and then snap away. Nic and Shayna are one of those couples. He makes a face and she just laughs. I kinda love that. I really do. It’s so easy to fall in love with clients who make it easy to love them. And well, I love this couple.
And side note: Shayna’s emails melt my heart all the time. She’s like sweetest emailer (is that a word??) that I’ve ever had! And well she and her sister, who swear they aren’t that much alike….TRULY ARE!!! They captivate you with their quirks, their laughs and those eyes! F’reals…those eyes…STUNNING!!!
It’s true, It’s true…I cannot wait for this wedding, to capture all those important details that Shayna & Nic have incorporated into their wedding and to see two beautiful people celebrate their “BIG” day.

Evan & Tracie Engagement Pictures | Costa Mesa | Orange County Wedding Photographer

When I met Tracie I knew she was my kinda gal. So easy to talk to and literally we laughed our way through our entire consultation. I was so excited to photograph these two because I knew there was something special about them! And I was right! They are the easiest couple to photograph and I kinda love how Tracie thinks I’m hysterical. (I mean finally, someone laughs at my lame jokes!) And Evan is so gentle and kind, that is kinda makes you melt. A true gentleman. They make the most perfect balanced couple I’ve ever met…
Love that!
I always complain to my Husband after every successful shoot that we need to take pictures again….and of course he stares at me, rolls his eyes and says, “Lisa, I’m going to stop you right there. We are not getting re-married!”

I have a feeling that Evan and Tracie’s wedding is going to be just as dreamy as their engagment session…I truly cannot wait!!!

Juliet & J.R./Kost Wedding 103.5 | Orange Engagement Session

A few months ago I was asked by Michelle Tortuya, of The Charming Little Event, if I were interested in photographing a wedding hosted by KOST 103.5. There were so many exciting elements to this wedding and well…of course…I had to do it! After all, it’s Michelle and she’s an amazing Wedding Coordinator/Extraordinaire.
On October 4th, the winners were announced. They were described as a sweet couple who had been together since High School and had been planning to marry for several years. Adorable! Honestly, I can’t even imagine what it might feel like to win something so incredible. I mean, I’ve won contests before, but nothing as lush as this! I mean, a Wedding? WOAH!!!
It’s a dream come true, it really is…

Anthony + Rebecca | Orange County Engagement Session

Anthony and Rebecca radiate love. You can see it in their hugs, laughs and gentle touches. While we were getting to know each other, Anthony asked if I wanted to hear “their” story. The story of how they rekindled their love after High School. It’s one of those stories that gives you goosebumps and reminds you of how special love really is, at least that’s what it did to me. I would attempt to re-tell it here but there is just no way I could do it justice.
Thank you Anthony and Rebecca for sharing your story with me, walking a half a mile to our location (when we didn’t have to!) and for saving me when I ~~almost~~ ate it at the beach. (the bruises are almost gone…almost!)
And seriously, I cannot wait to photograph your wedding!

Manuel & Sandy | Orange County Couples Session

As the sun began setting, Sandy was blinded by the sun’s brilliant rays. Without any hesitation, Manny lifted his hand and shielded her eyes. It was done so sweetly and yet so tenderly, that it made me feel like a bit of an intruder. Their admiration and devotion for each other was not for the camera, it was genuine. They have a perfect love, the kind that requires little effort and it really was something beautiful to capture.
